The Gion Festival is approaching again this year.
While the Gion Festival is bustling with Yoiyama and processions,the real highlight is the “Mikoshi Togyo” (portable shrine procession) that departs from Yasaka Shrine in the evening after the Yamaboko procession.
This year, we have reserved the invitation-only salon “Gion Kou,” frequented by wine connoisseurs, for the post-festival return ceremony of the Gion Festival,and have prepared a special plan for the first six groups to enjoy the Mikoshi procession up close.
Dinner will feature a special catered meal from the traditional restaurant “San'yu-kyo.”
Paired with natural wines selected by sommelier Kaori Kurata specifically for this event,we invite you to fully enjoy the authentic Gion Festival.
After dinner and the Mikoshi procession, if desired, you may also view the special ceremony held late at night within the Yasaka Shrine grounds.

■Schedule for the day:
• Please check in by 19:00 and make your own way to “Gion Kou.” (Approx. 13-minute walk, 5-minute taxi ride)
• Dinner at “Gion Kou” from 7:30 PM
• Viewing of the portable shrine procession from around 10:00 PM
• From around midnight, you may move to the Yasaka Shrine grounds in front of the hotel to view the spirit return ceremony
• Please Return to the hotel on your own
